My influences range from books to cartoons to moving imagery. In recent years, creative ideas from the east has made a huge impact on the west in terms of fashion and entertainment industry. Around 1987, one of the Japanese styles of art known as manga or anime broke through in the mainstream cinema and was to set high standards in technology and story telling. It won me over with some great anime movies such as akira, street fighter, appleseed, ghost in the shell and many more. Since then, my artwork always had manga touches. At the same time I carried on evolving my own style and used anime as my basis.
